Tips for Making Salted Dark Chocolate Cookies

  • If you can’t find dark chocolate unsweetened baking cocoa, you can use regular unsweetened baking cocoa in its place, and the cookies will still have a wealthy chocolate flavor.
  • I like to lightly press down on the cookie dough before baking so that I have more room to add on the salt and a couple more chocolate chips. If you leave the dough mounded, they will still spread.
  • The cookies will look slightly underdone when finished baking and will set up as they cool.
  • Don’t like the sweet and salty combo? Leave the salt off and you’ll still have a great, chocolaty cookie to endelight!
